Lifestlye True Freedom

Imagine growing up with complete freedom. It’s what most of us believe we want, especially in our younger years and we resent the memory of the constraints placed on us. For author Augusten Burroughs, complete freedom was the experience of his teenage years. He could do what he wanted - skipping school, doing drugs, following any desire of a young man's heart. So did he really experience true freedom? Burroughs reflected on this and said that instead of feeling free, he actually felt trapped. There was nothing to break free from so he was left feeling stuck, with nowhere to turn.

Freedom is not a lack of constraint, which ends up as just a dream to avoid responsibility and run away from life.

Jesus promised us true freedom. Freedom from the knowledge that you’ve disappointed yourself, others and God. Many of us are so crippled by this pain of disappointment that no amount of the freedoms that life can offer will fix our pain.

Why not turn to Jesus today and find true and lasting freedom?
