Lifestlye Lisa Pryor - The Power of Delusion

Sydney Morning Herald opinion writer, Lisa Pryor, wanted to help her readers find happiness. To encourage readers this is what she wrote: "If you want to be truly happy you must harness the power of delusion. Deep within the soul of every one of us resides the capacity for believing things that probably aren't true."

For Pryor, there is no God and no heaven. There is no spiritual reality or life beyond what you can see and touch. Her cynical view is that the only way you can find happiness in the spiritual is to be deluded and pretend it’s all true.

Jesus spoke to those who followed Him and said that if you know the truth it will set you free. Belief in Jesus is based on historical documents written by eyewitnesses who gave an account of what they heard, saw and experienced. Two thousand years later, people are still committed to following the truth Jesus taught.

Belief will always take a step of faith, but that is not a leap into delusion.
